  • 3.5-tonne tipper van waste collection

  • Skip hire (4-yard to 12-yard)

We collect the following waste materials only: mixed demolition rubble (EWC 17 01 07), excavated soil and stones (EWC 17 05 04), mixed scrap metal (EWC 17 04 07), and concrete (EWC 17 01 01). 3. Quotes and Pricing

3.1 All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

3.2 Quotes are based on the information provided by the client at the time of enquiry. Reclova reserves the right to revise a quote if the actual volume, weight, material type, or site access conditions differ materially from those described.

3.3 All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 20%) will be added to all invoices.

3.4 Quoted prices cover the collection, transportation, and disposal of agreed materials only. Additional loads, unexpected weight overages, or changes to scope will be quoted separately before any additional work commences.

3.5 Reclova does not engage in price fixing or any anti-competitive practices.

4. Booking and Confirmation

4.1 A booking is confirmed when Reclova issues written confirmation (by email or WhatsApp) of the agreed date, service, price, and job reference number.

4.2 Reclova will use reasonable endeavours to carry out collections on the confirmed date. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including road traffic, vehicle breakdowns, severe weather, or transfer station closures.

4.3 Grab lorry bookings are subject to subcontractor availability and require a minimum of 48–72 hours advance notice. Reclova will confirm grab lorry availability promptly upon request and cannot guarantee same-day or next-day availability for this service.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

  • Ensuring safe and adequate access to the collection point for Reclova's vehicles

  • Accurately describing all waste materials at the time of enquiry — including volume, weight, and any potential contamination

  • Ensuring that only permitted waste types (as listed in Clause 2) are presented for collection

  • Obtaining any necessary permits for skip placement on a public highway (Reclova can arrange this on the client's behalf — additional charges apply)

  • Ensuring that all waste is legally owned by or in the lawful possession of the client

  • Signing the Waste Transfer Note on collection — a requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990

  • Retaining their copy of the Waste Transfer Note for a minimum of 2 years

6. Prohibited Materials

  • Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (any form)

  • Hazardous or contaminated soil (EWC 17 05 03*)

  • Clinical or medical waste

  • Chemicals, solvents, oils, or liquid waste

  • Electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)

  • Household or general domestic rubbish

  • Food waste

  • Radioactive materials

  • Any material classified as hazardous waste under the Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005

If prohibited materials are discovered during or after collection without prior disclosure, Reclova reserves the right to refuse the collection, charge for any costs incurred, and report the matter to the Environment Agency. The client will be liable for all additional costs resulting from undisclosed hazardous materials.

7. Waste Transfer Notes

7.1 Reclova will issue a Waste Transfer Note (WTN) for every collection as required under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

7.2 Both parties (Reclova as transferee and the client as transferor) must sign the WTN at the point of collection.

7.3 Both parties must retain their copy of the signed WTN for a minimum of 2 years and make it available to the Environment Agency on request.

7.4 By signing the WTN, the client confirms they have applied the waste hierarchy as required by the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.

8. Payment Terms

8.1 Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing.

8.2 Accepted payment methods: BACS bank transfer, debit or credit card, and cash on completion (residential clients only — commercial clients: BACS only).

8.3 For BACS payments, the client must use the invoice number as the payment reference.

8.4 Late payment interest may be charged at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 on overdue commercial invoices.

8.5 Reclova reserves the right to suspend services to clients with outstanding overdue invoices until payment is received.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

9.1 Clients may cancel a confirmed booking without charge by giving at least 24 hours notice before the scheduled collection time.

9.2 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted job value to cover mobilisation costs.

9.3 For grab lorry bookings, cancellation with less than 48 hours notice may incur the full subcontractor mobilisation cost.

9.4 Reclova may cancel a booking at any time due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Clause 4.2). In such cases, no cancellation fee is charged and we will rebook at the earliest available date.

10. Liability

10.1 Reclova's liability to the client for any claim arising from a service is limited to the value of that specific invoice.

  • Indirect or consequential losses of any kind

  • Damage to property not directly caused by Reclova's negligence

  • Losses arising from the client's failure to accurately describe waste materials

  • Delays caused by circumstances beyond Reclova's reasonable control

10.3 Nothing in these Terms limits Reclova's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10.4 Reclova holds £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance. Evidence of cover is available on request.

11. Environmental Compliance

11.1 Reclova operates as a licensed Upper Tier Waste Carrier (EA Licence: CBDU646720) and transports all collected waste to licensed waste transfer stations.

11.2 Reclova targets a 99% recycling and material recovery rate across all C&D waste streams collected.

11.3 Recycling certificates can be provided on request for clients who require evidence of recycling rates for planning, ESG, or sustainability reporting purposes.

11.4 Reclova complies with the waste hierarchy as required by the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, prioritising prevention, reuse, recycling, and recovery over disposal.
